Acupressure is a traditional healing practice that involves applying manual pressure to specific points on the body. It is based on the same principles as acupuncture, a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The main difference between the two is that acupressure uses pressure from the fingers, palms, elbows, or specialized tools to stimulate the body's natural healing abilities, while acupuncture uses thin needles inserted into the skin at these points.
Acupressure is based on one the most ancient principles of healing - that simply touching a specific point on the body will release stress and improve health in the body. In an acupressure session, I apply firm pressure directly to these "points" on your body, relieving muscle tension and improving circulation. This simple and powerful technique is very effective in treating headaches, backaches, and even insomnia.
In acupressure, as practitioners we believe that the body's vital energy, known as "Qi" (pronounced chee), flows along meridian pathways. These meridians connect various organs and systems in the body. According to traditional Chinese medicine, illness, and discomfort are thought to occur when the flow of Qi becomes blocked or imbalanced. By applying pressure to specific acupoints along these meridians, practitioners aim to release any blockages and restore the balanced flow of energy, thus promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Acupressure can be used to address a wide range of health issues, including pain relief, stress reduction, relaxation, improved circulation, nausea, headaches, and other ailments. It is often used as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medical treatments, and many people find it helpful in managing their overall health and wellness.
Many people believe in the benefits of acupressure, but its outcomes can vary from person to person. As with any alternative therapy, it's advisable to consult with a qualified healthcare professional before using acupressure as part of your health regimen.

Key features of Active Isolated Stretching:
1. Client Participation: Unlike traditional massage where the therapist performs most of the movements, AIS massage actively involves the client. Clients are guided to perform specific stretches with my assistance. This collaborative approach helps in targeting specific muscle groups and joints effectively.
2. Isolation of Muscle Groups: AIS massage concentrates on isolating and targeting specific muscles or muscle groups during each stretching movement. By focusing on individual muscles, the technique aims to enhance their length and flexibility.
3. Repetitive and Controlled Movements: Each stretch is typically repeated 2-3 times, and the movements are controlled and precise. The stretches are held for a short duration (usually 15-30 seconds) to avoid triggering a protective muscle contraction response.
4. Enhanced Circulation and Oxygenation: The stretching movements in AIS massage facilitate improved circulation and blood flow to the stretched muscles. This helps in promoting the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the tissues, aiding in muscle recovery and overall tissue health.
5. Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation: AIS massage is often used as a complementary approach in injury prevention and rehabilitation programs. It can help individuals recover from injuries by gradually restoring normal range of motion and flexibility to affected areas.
6. Customization: The stretches in AIS massage can be tailored to the specific needs and goals of the individual. This customization allows for a targeted approach to addressing areas of tension, discomfort, or limited mobility.
7. Pain Relief: Regular sessions of AIS massage may help alleviate muscle tension, reduce discomfort, and potentially contribute to the relief of chronic pain conditions.
8. Posture Improvement: By increasing flexibility and promoting proper alignment of muscles and joints, AIS massage can contribute to better posture and body mechanics.
I will administer this service with smooth technique and application. As with any therapeutic approach, individual results may vary, and it's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional before undergoing any new form of massage therapy, especially if you have existing medical conditions or concerns.
Developed by Aaron Mattes, Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) is a dynamic system for improving your flexibility and overall well-being. As you probably already know, stretching your muscles not only reduces your chance of injury, but also strengthens your tendons and improves your circulation.
The bamboo cane replaces my hands, and it is used to give a deep, firm massage. The cane is held over the muscle with the same strokes that I would use with my hands. The muscle is then kneaded, which assists in the release of tension and easing of knots.
30-45 min of Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common the next day after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.
This is typically an add on service to a Swedish massage or other service. I don't recommend more than 45 min of deep tissue.

Dating back many years, natural salt was used to enhance healing. People visited salt caves to find relief from a wide range of health issues, to enhance breathing, to improve skin health and to reduce stress.
Today, specially shaped Himalayan salt “stones” are heated to provide a unique therapeutic massage that offers salt’s healing benefits during a massage. Here are five benefits of a Himalayan Salt Stone Massage:
Today’s fast paced society leaves us feeling overwhelmed and stressed. Rest and relaxation is fundamental to our health. When we allow ourselves to rest and relax, we are able to rejuvenate and be the best versions of ourselves. We perform better physically and mentally and lead a calmer, happier and more vital life. Melt away the tension built up in your body to support and nourish your central nervous system with the new Himalayan Salt Stone Massage I‘m offering.
Introducing my Hot Stone Therapy service: Experience the ultimate relaxation and muscle rejuvenation as heated stones are strategically placed on your body, enhancing relaxation and promoting muscle circulation. The warmth from the stones allows for a deeper and quicker release of tension and stress compared to traditional massage techniques. Indulge in this truly relaxing and nurturing experience.

Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home or workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which I bring to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing and you won’t be full of oil. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.

Reflexology is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones and landmarks in primarily your feet but occasionally your hands are included as well.
Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression.
The foot and or hand massage/reflexology service is a relaxing and therapeutic treatment designed to target specific points on your feet that correspond to various areas and organs within your body.
This service combines the principles of reflexology, a natural healing art based on the concept that there are reflex points in the feet that mirror the body's internal systems.
During the session, you will be comfortably seated or reclined while I apply pressure and manipulate your feet using my hands, fingers, and thumbs.

I will focus on stimulating and massaging these reflex points, which are believed to promote relaxation, improve circulation, and encourage the body's natural healing processes. The pressure applied to each point can vary, ranging from gentle to firm, depending on your preferences and comfort level.
This foot massage/reflexology session is not only soothing and rejuvenating but also aims to promote overall well-being by helping to alleviate stress, tension, and discomfort throughout your body.
The 30-minute duration of the service allows for a condensed yet effective experience, making it a great option for those seeking a quick relaxation break or a targeted approach to addressing specific concerns.
Please note that while many people find foot massage/reflexology to be beneficial, it is important to consult with a healthcare professional if you have any underlying medical conditions or concerns before receiving this type of treatment.
Swedish massage is a distinct modality—though in modern practice, many therapists blend techniques so I recommend 30 min of Swedish massage for this reason.
If you choose a 30 min Swedish massage you must combine with another service.
It is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It is typically very light work that combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as skin rolling, and others (see below) to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
🧼 Swedish Massage

Effleurage (long gliding strokes)
Petrissage (kneading)

Tapotement (percussive movements)
